The much-loved and recently updated Palisade achieved average figures, with 6,866 units sold. News that Hyundai is discontinuing the Accent comes as no surprise when you realize the company shifted just 2,088 examples. The Korean automaker says the Venue will take over as the value offering. Aside from last month, the Venue easily outsells the Accent every month.
Unsurprisingly, Hyundai says SUVs account for 76% of the total “retail mix” with the Tucson achieving all-time sales records in the second quarter of the year. Speaking of Q2, the company sold 184,191 units during this period with total sales for the year standing at 343,867 units. Out of interest, Hyundai sold just 2,853 examples of the Ioniq 5 and 3,502 Santa Cruz models in the month. Can this upward trend continue? If supplies don’t get in the way, we see no reason that 2022 as a whole won’t be a financial boon.
