Smokey And The Bandit Have Gone Green

Unfortunately, the svelte European doesn’t wear the gold graphics quite as well as the Pontiac does. On the hood sits the Trans Am Hood Decal (unofficially known as the screaming chicken) which sits at odds with the Porsche’s reserved design. Elsewhere, the auric shade has been applied to several exterior trim pieces, the five-spoke wheels, and the ‘Taycan Turbo S’ logo on the front door.

When viewed in isolation, the gold and black combination doesn’t look too bad. In fact, it looks as if this Taycan Turbo S could have been the brainchild of Manhart Performance. This mix of old and new may not be a match made in heaven, but it does show the strong influence the 1977 cult classic still has on gearheads, no matter what they drive. Perhaps this combination would work better if there was a Porsche connection in the film.
